18 years old presented to clinic 9/7/2009.

SYMPTOMS

• Constant Pain in Jaw joint, unable to eat properly because of the pain, losing weight, teeth grinding and Jaw very clicky.
• Other symptoms were headaches, neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain, and knees often hurt.
• He also explained that when in sunshine his skin seemed to become sensitive and swell and become very itchy.
• He seemed to be drinking 4 to 5 litres of water per day.

CASE STUDY

Sovann was 18yrs old, born in Cambodia, Lived in NZ for 6 years,  a student with part time work.

Like a lot of people born overseas he was prepared to invest a large part of his income from his part time job in getting well.

He was in a worried and in an agitated state, concerned about his health, he was losing a lot of weight. He needed to finish his study

Nobody seemed to be able to help him.

I was able to get his water intake back to normal in first session, and within 6 to 8 weeks had relieved his jaw so he was eating without pain and putting on weight. It did take longer to get the jaw joint to heal and stop the clicky jaw.

Now back at the gym he is a very happy young man without any of the above problems.
